New Stuff This Month

Lots of new wines and new topics this month. We take a dive into the art of wine blending, learn about the winemaking technique called “aging on the lees” and a new wine style category has been added - orange wines!

Thus far in 2025, there have been a number of deeper discounts on some of the previous wine picks, making them lower in price than usual so there are some especially great values in February.

Both of the best value proseccos under $30.00 are on sale this month and there are reviews of six new great value wine picks for you to explore.

I blind tasted three sauvignon blancs from Chile for this month’s newsletter but only one made the grade and it’s an excellent one. Have a look in the listings for Chile

The wines are organized alphabetically by country now instead of by wine style, with new wine picks placed first in each country. All the other information for the wine listing is still present, i.e. wine style, score, review, price change if any and a clickable link to see which BCL stores carry the wine.

This month’s sale lasts until the end of day, Saturday March 1. Note that you can save a little extra money this month because most beers and wines are GST exempt until February 15.
